Overview
The United Association National Pension Fund (UANPF) is a multi-employer defined benefit pension fund established over 50 years ago. We are responsible for administering the retirement benefits nationwide for over 160,000 members and their families. The Reciprocity Analyst I is a trainee position open for a maximum of 36 months, with potential promotion to Reciprocity Analyst II after 18 to 36 months based on progression. The Reciprocity Analyst I processes reciprocal remittance reports from bank lockbox, mail, and UARS downloads into basys; reviews reciprocal disbursement reports and makes corrections to members’ records to ensure proper reciprocity; researches and responds to reciprocal inquiries regarding hours and rates; requests missing reciprocal hours inquiries from the Pension Department; maintains accuracy of member contribution records; and communicates with participants, locals, and employers to answer questions about record accuracy. The role requires maintaining data confidentiality and not disclosing proprietary information without proper authorization. Become familiar with the UA National Pension Fund Reciprocal Agreement and the Pro Rata Partial Pension Addendum Review, process, and enter less complicated reciprocal remittance reports into basys from UARS, bank lockbox, and mail Deposit local pension fund remittance checks, verify amounts, ensure proper completion and signature, balance deposits, and provide back-up to Accounting Perform detailed and accurate review of less complicated reciprocal disbursement reports and member contribution records; make corrections to Member and CRM files as needed Maintain local pension fund rate information and notify staff of rate changes Review and process simple reciprocal refund requests Answer general inquiries from travelers and pension fund personnel regarding hours and rate-related reciprocal questions; communicate with other pension funds and travelers on reciprocated contributions Research and respond to less complicated Monthly/Annual Statement and Annual Hours inquiries Respond to Pension Department inquiries regarding missing reciprocal contributions Prepare applicable documents for imaging (e.g., wage rate sheets, missing hours inquiries, reciprocal correspondence) Carry out other duties assigned by the Reciprocity Group Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor, and/or the Fund Administrator Qualifications
College degree or four years related work experience preferred Excellent oral and written communication, pleasant telephone manner Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; ability to use Microsoft Outlook and strong PC skills Detail-oriented with good analytical and organizational skills Accurate mathematical skills and calculator proficiency Self-starter with ability to work independently Ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently Strong ability to work with others and maintain good inter-office relations Ability to work well under pressure and overtime when necessary Salary : Level IV Step I ($1,230 Weekly) Hours : 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM (37.5-hour work week) Benefits : Competitive salary and benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, a defined benefit pension plan, 401(k), flexible spending accounts, and free parking UANPF is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
