Position: Engineer 2. You will play a significant part in planning, organizing and implementing project engineering and project controls tasks. Kiewit’s Central District is one of our largest infrastructure districts specializing in heavy civil, structural concrete/bridge, water/wastewater, and transportation projects. We self-perform work such as mass grading, drainage, paving, utility and more. While headquartered in Denver, Colorado, the majority of our work is concentrated in the Central and South-Central regions of the United States. This position will be based out of our Colorado (Central District) region. Must be willing to work across Colorado, Montana, Nebraska & surrounding markets. We relocate our teams based on available work, development plans, skill sets and career goals of each team member. This ensures a custom-designed career path to meet shared needs. Responsibilities

Field Engineering: Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision Field Engineering: Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work Field Engineering: Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages Field Engineering: Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-built data Field Engineering: Assist in compiling, processing, and confirming daily labor timesheets Field Engineering: Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHA’s) Field Engineering: Participate in jobsite safety reviews, toolbox meetings, mass safety meetings, and safety training Field Engineering: Order and schedule material deliveries Field Engineering: Plan, schedule, and coordinate work groups on the jobsite Field Engineering: Supervise field operations Office Engineering: Perform material takeoffs from drawings, specifications and other contract documents Office Engineering: Perform basic engineering calculations and technical drafting to support field operations Office Engineering: Assist Engineers to gather and prepare data for submittal or transmittal to the customer, vendors, subcontractors, governmental agencies, and internal use Office Engineering: Participate in the preparation of purchase orders and subcontracts, performing minor solicitations and purchasing as requested Office Engineering: Schedule maintenance and perform updates as directed by others Office Engineering: Assist in the maintenance of basic project recordkeeping and correspondence functions including daily reports, photographs, RFIs, and memorandums Office Engineering: Enter data into the job cost system and participate in reviewing cost reports with jobsite management Office Engineering: Assist in generating change orders and as-built data to be reviewed by the Project Manager Office Engineering: Provide field support and supervise subcontractor operations Estimating: Assist in reviewing and analyzing historical data relative to the project, incorporating various productions and costs appropriate in preparation of a bid Estimating: Complete a plan and specification review for an assigned project, assessing risk areas and bringing them to the attention of the Senior Estimator Estimating: Complete material and quantity takeoffs according to bid documents Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education At least 2 years of experience in the construction field Working knowledge to direct the operations of scheduling (CPM), unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating and subcontracts Experience with leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization Other Requirements

Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required May work at various locations and in varying conditions Compensation

Base Compensation: $95,000/yr - $100,000/yr. Actual compensation varies based on education, experience, skillset, and location. This posting will be active from 07/16/2025 to 01/01/2026. Benefits
