Job title : Staff Software Engineer, Platform Location : US-Remote About the role We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join LTK's developer platform team. The developer platform designs, builds, and maintains core infrastructure and tools that enable other software development teams to work efficiently, securely, and reliably. Key responsibilities include creating scalable, automated CI/CD pipelines, developing self-service tools, fostering collaboration, and mentoring other engineers to improve the developer experience and operational excellence. This role requires strong technical leadership, expertise in distributed systems, and a product-oriented mindset to treat the developer platform as a product for internal users. The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of distributed systems and hands-on experience with large-scale backend services, Kubernetes, gRPC, and service mesh, and will design architecture and lead the team to deliver a modern platform powering LTK’s internal services. How you will make an impact Build developer-facing tooling and infrastructure that promotes developer satisfaction and improves development velocity Define, document, and implement golden paths for teams to build services in a scalable, secure way Collaborate with teams across the company to gather requirements, support projects, and drive initiatives forward Provide guidance and unblock others on the team while mentoring through code reviews Make informed decisions around technical debt and tradeoffs Contribute to improvements in the scrum team's processes and share solutions with peers and management Leadership Proven leadership skills, including mentoring engineers, leading technical initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams Project management: ability to lead projects from conception to completion and manage timelines, resources, and priorities Continuous learning: commitment to staying up-to-date with industry trends and sharing knowledge with peers Mentor and coach team members within the department Work Management/Communication Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and other technical leaders Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to influence technical decisions across teams and mentor others in best practices Urgency with a growth mindset and focus on prioritization and operational excellence Adaptability to a dynamic, fast-moving environment Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software development Experience building developer platforms/frameworks for companies past the startup stage (e.g., Backstage.io, Cortex, Humanitec, score.dev, et al.) Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes Experience migrating workloads onto Kubernetes/EKS Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, system monitors, and log aggregation services Experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab, CircleCI, Argo, Kargo Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including CloudFormation and Terraform Knowledge of observability practices and logging/monitoring tools (e.g., DataDog, Splunk, New Relic, Edge Delta, Prometheus) Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, RDS, et al.) Experience writing services in Go, Python, C++, or Java Built scalable internal and public APIs (REST, JSON, HTTP) Experience integrating 3rd party APIs (REST, OAuth) Expertise with relational and NoSQL databases and microservices architectures Familiarity with agile methods (Scrum or Kanban) Comfortable shipping code multiple times per day Proven ability to influence and mentor other engineers Experience delivering high-availability, scalable cloud-based systems Track record of setting technical and organizational direction for a growing engineering team across multiple locations Qualifications A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent) Experience with developer experience software like backstage.io Proficiency using and evangelizing AI tools to enhance software development productivity About the role and offerings What we offer The opportunity to be part of the leading global company in creator commerce A remote-first, productivity-first environment Competitive compensation and benefits package 401(k) with company matching Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Paid parental leave Summer Fridays and Flexible PTO About LTK Founded in 2011, LTK is a global technology platform that empowers lifestyle creators to monetize content.
