The Site Manager is responsible for leading and managing all on-site construction activities for assigned projects. Acting as both the construction lead and the project representative on-site, this role ensures the safe, efficient, and high-quality execution of the project while also handling key project management responsibilities when the Project Manager is not present. The Site Manager serves as the primary liaison between the site, the client, and the project management team, ensuring seamless coordination, accountability, and delivery. Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution Oversee daily on-site construction operations from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory standards. Act as the on-site extension of the Project Manager, taking ownership of schedule, budget, quality, and safety performance. Anticipate and resolve conflicts or delays, implementing proactive solutions to keep projects on track. Team & Resource Management Supervise and coordinate subcontractors, craft workers, foremen, and support staff to ensure aligned execution. Plan and manage site resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to maximize efficiency and minimize costs. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and results-driven team culture. Client & Stakeholder Relations Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders at the job site. Provide timely progress updates, address concerns, and build strong working relationships to maintain client satisfaction. Represent the project team in meetings, inspections, and audits. Financial & Schedule Oversight Support and manage budgets, schedules, and forecasts in coordination with the Project Manager. Track performance against baseline plans, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed. Assist in subcontractor and vendor management, including contract compliance, invoicing, and change order processes. Safety & Quality Enforce compliance with all safety standards, procedures, and regulations. Promote a culture of safety-first across the site workforce. Ensure all construction work meets quality requirements and adheres to client and company standards. Documentation & Reporting Maintain accurate and up-to-date records including daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and cost tracking. Provide regular reports to the Project Manager and senior management. Lead site-level project meetings and document outcomes. Qualifications
10+ years of progressive experience in industrial construction with a strong focus on power generation projects and new plant construction. Proven experience managing and executing gas turbine installation, combined-cycle, and/or simple-cycle power plant projects. Minimum 5 years in supervisory or site leadership roles with direct responsibility for crews, subcontractors, and client interaction. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent industry experience). Deep knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, safety regulations, and QA/QC practices within the energy and power generation sector. Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and owner relations on complex EPC or self-perform projects. Excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills with the ability to resolve field issues quickly and effectively. Proficiency in construction/project management software (Procore, Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent). Ability to travel and relocate to project sites as needed. Physical Requirements
Ability to safely navigate large, active construction sites, including uneven terrain, excavation areas, and temporary access ways. Frequent walking, standing, and climbing throughout the workday.
