FEDITC is seeking an experienced
Network Engineer IV
to support the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center (DLIFLC) Academic Network Labor Contract in
Monterey, CA area , supporting approximately 5,751 military and federal civilian employees worldwide. The person in this position serves as the contract lead network engineer. This is an upcoming opportunity with a projected start date of January/February 2026. A United States Citizenship and an active Secret DoD Security Clearance is required to be considered for this position. Background Investigation NAC initiated is required to be considered for this position. Responsibilities Wired and wireless network performance monitoring Network optimization and testing IT Project Management Implementation of network security controls Advanced network troubleshooting Analyzing all elements of the network infrastructure Cross functional team management and project leadership Providing services for configuring, operating, and maintaining network routers, switches, wireless access points, mobility controllers, VPN, firewall, network access control, radius servers, network UPS’s and software application appliances Managing the Academic Network internet IP addressing schemes Configuring networks to prevent instances of malicious use of the commercial internet Configuring DNS filters IAW the latest Army and DoD standards Managing the Cybersecurity Network and Boundary Defense, Intrusion Detection tools and Techniques and Incident Response on the Academic Network Tuning and optimization of Network devices including Extreme devices Qualifications Experience/Skills: VMware NSX: Install, Configure, Manage (V6.2) Cisco Networks switches and routers Ruckus Layer 2 Switches / Wireless Controller / Wireless Access Points Palo Alto Networks Firewall knowledge of PA-7050 / PA-3060 / PA-3260 / PA-5450 / Wildfire/URL Filtering Brocade MPLS Implementation Layer 2 and Layer 3 switches Aruba Networks Excellent knowledge of Wireless Controllers / Access Points / Airwave / ClearPass Ciena 100G OME 6500 DWDM System Extreme Networks Layer 2/3, MLXE Switches /Extreme IQ / OSPF, BGP, and MPLS SolarWinds, InMon Sentinel, Uptrends Education BA/BS from an accredited college or university with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience or substitute with AA/AS with 7+ years’ experience Certifications Anyone of the following IAT Level II (CySA+, Security+, CND, or SSCP) Certification and CE/OS Certification CCNA Clearance Active SECRET Favorable FBI Fingerprints with “No Record” Must be a US Citizen FEDITC, LLC. is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace and provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment.
