Senior Security Operations Center Analyst
to support the customer Enterprise Cybersecurity Operations Support Team responsible for protecting the information and assets within the customer’s information technology infrastructure, including sensitive data that directly supports the customer’s mission, national security and operational readiness. The ideal candidate will have Security Operations Center experience and the ability to drive strategic initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance, particularly with FISMA/NIST frameworks, to include DoD cybersecurity mandates and guidance. Base pay range
$125,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic security operations plans, aligning with customer objectives and regulatory requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for cybersecurity strategy and incident response. Oversee the monitoring and analysis of security events, directing incident response efforts to mitigate threats. Coordinate with the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) for comprehensive reporting and remediation strategies. System and Network Security: Ensure continuous assessment of network and system security postures, evaluating new technologies and system configurations for potential risks. Champion the implementation and management of advanced cybersecurity tools, including but not limited to, network monitoring, host-based monitoring, and security filtering. Threat Intelligence and Vulnerability Management: Lead cyber threat intelligence operations, developing advanced correlation techniques for actionable insights. Direct the review processes for Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management (IAVM) and DISA VDP, prioritizing proactive risk management. Architecture and Policy Development: Advise on and refine cybersecurity architectures, tool configurations, and detection signatures to enhance system defenses. Develop and enforce security policies and protocols that ensure comprehensive protection against breaches and cybersecurity attacks. Required
Minimum 5+ years of experience in Security Operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing systems in accordance with FISMA/NIST or similar regulatory frameworks, to include DoD mandates and guidance. Proficient understanding of TCP/IP, networking protocols, system administration, OSI model, Zero Trust, defense-in-depth strategies, and common security elements. Hands-on experience with Anti-Virus, HIPS/HBSS, IDS/IPS, Full Packet Capture, Network Forensics, and complex technical reports on analytic findings. Experience using Assured Compliance Assessment (ACAS) suite of tools. Experience with advanced security tools such as ACAS, SPL (Splunk), KQL (Sentinel), and malware analysis concepts and methods. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. DoD 8140 Compliant for IAT Level III: CISSP, or equivalent certifications. DoD 8140 Compliant for CSSP Analyst: Obtain a CCNA Cyber Ops, CCNA-Security, CEH, CFR, Cloud+, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, PenTest+, or SCYBER certification within 6 months of start date. Microsoft Security Operation Analyst Certification Preferred. Clearance
