Workday Architects
who are passionate about developing highly-resilient, fundamentally-sound objects to support the Human Resource technology driving Capital One. As part of a team that's leading the next wave of disruption on a whole new scale, you will play an integral part in advancing Capital One's Human Resource Technology ecosystem and culture of technical excellence. You will champion automation of functional and technical processes and bring your expertise to drive innovative solutions. General Responsibilities: Lead the design, development and architecture of Workday solutions, including HCM, Finance, Recruiting, Benefits, Compensations and other modules to support business processes and objectives. Design and implement integrations between Workday Finance and other modules, ensuring seamless data flow and integration points. Implement the Workday solution to support multiple countries and ensure the design supports compliance requirements. Lead trade-offs and impact analysis for hard-to-change technical decisions, and manage technical conflict. Demonstrate thought leadership and strategy in partnership with delivery and product partners. Explain and represent solutions in Architecture Review Boards, and in various product, platform and architecture discussions. Present work products and strategies to product managers and technology leadership across Capital One. Function as a primary architecture point of contact for other architecture teams and delivery teams for solutions and systems. Implement security requirements within Workday that support data tokenization and other compliance requirements. Evaluate machine learning/AI use cases and ensure AI usage is based on safety and compliance requirements. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree At least 4 years of experience in Software Engineering and Systems Architecture or Technology Solution design At least 2 years of experience creating solutions architectures in a public cloud (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud) Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology 5+ years of experience in software engineering 3+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect in large/complex organizations 6+ years of experience architecting, designing, and/or delivering scalable and decoupled systems in a heavily regulated technology environment 2+ years of experience working with internal and external business clients 2+ years of experience with AWS concepts and implementations Experience engaging, influencing and driving initiatives by partnering with technology executives Experience mentoring software engineers or architects Experience in a regulated environment (HIPAA, PCI, Privacy, etc) Ability to communicate at all levels in the organization with required technical depth and breadth AWS or equivalent certifications (Cloud Practitioner, Solution Architect-Associate, GCP or Azure) Additional Information: At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization, or offer any immigration related support for this position (i.e., H1B, F-1 OPT, F-1 STEM OPT, F-1 CPT, J-1, TN, E-2, E-3, L-1 and O-1, or any EADs or other forms of work authorization that require immigration support from an employer). Location-based ranges include: Sales Territory: $175,800 - $200,700 Cambridge, MA: $193,400 - $220,700 Chicago, IL: $175,800 - $200,700 McLean, VA: $193,400 - $220,700 New York, NY: $211,000 - $240,800 Plano, TX: $175,800 - $200,700 Richmond, VA: $175,800 - $200,700 San Jose, CA: $211,000 - $240,800 Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter. This role is also eligible to earn performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non-discretionary depending on the plan.
