Overview
Job Title: Solution Architect (Solution Architecture Cloud Architecture Kubernetes Manufacturing)
Work Schedule: On-site
Rate: $90/hr, Based on experience. Open to C2C candidates as well.

Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders, engineers, and IT teams to define solution requirements that align with manufacturing strategy.
Design scalable, secure, and efficient solutions that integrate shop floor systems (Data Collection, MES, SCADA, Production, Quality) with enterprise applications (Reliability Insights, Connected Control Plan, and Quality).
Lead solution design for smart factory initiatives, including IoT, data collection, visualization, analytics for assets and processes, and digital twin technologies.
Evaluate and select suitable technologies, tools, and vendors for manufacturing systems.
Ensure solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity protocols, and regulatory requirements, or establish new standards where necessary.
Provide technical leadership throughout project lifecycles, from conceptual design to implementation, including participation in daily operations within a Solution Pillar and team ceremonies.
Support process mapping, gap analysis, and system configuration with cross-functional teams.
Create and maintain architectural documentation (system blueprints, data flow diagrams, integration patterns) and pave roadmaps.
Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution design and delivery.
Monitor advancements in Industry 4.0, manufacturing technologies, and digital transformation.
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).
Experience:
10+ years in IT, systems integration, or enterprise architecture; 5+ years in manufacturing or industrial automation.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of manufacturing operations and technologies (MES, SCADA, PLCs, HMI, DCS, Networking); familiarity with ERP; cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), edge computing, Kubernetes, Kafka; data modeling and integration patterns (APIs, middleware, OPC-UA, MQTT); OT/IT cybersecurity awareness; knowledge of IIoT, ISA 95, and modern data collection/visualization tools.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management; ability to lead cross-functional teams; strategic thinking with focus on future technologies.
Certifications (Preferred):
PMP or Agile, AWS/Azure Solution Architecture, TOGAF/ArchiMate, MES or ERP certifications (e.g., SAP PP/ME, Rockwell, Siemens).
Additional:
Experience with Quality and Production data collection, ML/AI integrations, and portfolio reviews for stability and performance improvements.
