We’re looking for a Software Engineer II to join our Development team and help unleash the potential of every business. Worldpay provides a leading in-house payment management platform (SaaS) that serves high-volume merchants. The platform handles millions of merchant transactions and requires reliability, quality, and fault tolerance. What You’ll Own

As a Software Engineer, your skills will be at the core of changing how the world pays, banks, and invests. You’ll plan and manage application development and client delivery activities that range from small, simple software applications to components of large, complex software applications. Design, develop, and test software for scalability, reliability, and data recovery on a high-volume, high-availability platform Collaborate with Product, Platform, Merchant Services and Support to translate business requirements into technical solutions Use Agile techniques such as pair programming and test-driven development to maximize productivity and quality Deploy new features into production with zero platform downtime and no impact to end customers Build domain expertise in e-commerce payments and develop new product features Work in a team-focused culture where collaboration and communication are critical What You Bring

A Bachelor’s degree in computer engineering, computer science or related discipline, or equivalent experience 5+ years of relevant Java software engineering experience (not including internships) Strong design, SQL, and Java programming skills Ability to translate high-level business goals into technical solutions Ability to adapt to changing priorities based on business needs Experience with Microservices architecture, globally distributed services, and 24/7 support Experience with RESTful API design and cloud technologies like Kubernetes and Kafka Proficiency with SQL, relational data modeling, and database schema design Added Bonus If You Have

Experience with monitoring, self-healing resilient platforms Knowledge of scalability levers in high-volume, low-latency transactional systems Experience with AWS, OpenShift Platform Experience with Ansible, Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Black Duck, Checkmarx, SonarQ, Cucumber, Karate Experience with Splunk, Dynatrace, Prometheus, and related tooling Unit testing framework experience (JUnit) and TDD Pair programming experience What Makes a Worldpayer

The pay range for this full-time position is $101,100.00 - $169,700.00, determined by location, skills, experience, and training.
