Senior Accountant / Accounting Manager

Overview
Lineage is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a publicly traded biotechnology company, proficiency with NetSuite accounting software, and strong multitasking abilities. A proactive, detail-oriented approach and a solutions-driven mindset are essential. This full-time position reports to the Senior Accounting Manager and is based at Lineage’s headquarters in Carlsbad, CA. The role is hybrid with regular in-office and work-from-home hours. Responsibilities
Support the monthly/quarterly close process by preparing journal entries. Review monthly close entries as needed to support the close process. Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations. Prepare and provide summaries of cash position to support weekly planned cash disbursements. Manage internal PO preparation by department owners to ensure accurate input; assist/train employees on PO preparation and invoice approvals in NetSuite. Prepare and/or review GL account reconciliations to support the monthly/quarterly close, as assigned. Maintain fixed asset subledger and reconciliations, including depreciation and related entries. Manage royalty portfolio, including quarterly royalty analysis and other revenue receivables for financial reporting. Prepare and/or assist with monthly/quarterly financial statement fluctuation analyses to support internal and external reporting needs. Assess quarterly foreign exchange-rate analysis for reasonableness. Prepare ASC 842 accounting schedules for new leases, including monthly journals and quarterly disclosure workbook. Assist with gathering accounting information to comply with government grant accounting and reporting. Backup for accounts payable as necessary. Perform other finance-related tasks as requested, including ad-hoc analysis. Oversee monthly accounting entries for the Company's international subsidiary, ES Cell International, including annual audit and tax requests. Assist with carrying out SOX 404 compliance and internal control processes. Position Requirements
Education and Experience
Eight to ten years of accounting work experience. Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance; CPA preferred. Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and public company experience; clinical trial experience is a plus. Solid GAAP knowledge. Knowledge and Skills
Hands-on approach and a “can do” attitude. Intermediate to advanced Excel and Word skills; proficient with other Microsoft Office programs. Solid working knowledge of NetSuite accounting software. Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy. Strong multitasking and time management skills. Superior verbal and written communication skills.
