POSITION The Core Fixed Income Team is seeking a credit analyst to join our team, which manages $35 billion in assets with a 35-year track record of consistent outperformance. The analyst role will focus on supporting the team’s fundamental and relative value analysis across a variety of potential sectors within investment grade credit markets, working with traders and portfolio managers in order to identify investment ideas and performance opportunities. This role offers a career path of growth with the long-term goal of ultimately becoming a sector specialist with portfolio management responsibilities. We currently operate in a hybrid working model, whereby you will be required to work in-office 3 days a week. Location(s): Walnut Creek, CA RESPONSIBILITIES Collaborate with portfolio managers to conduct bottom-up fundamental research and identify key drivers when conducting company, industry, collateral or structural analysis Contribute to the preparation of detailed reports including credit reviews and initiations, earnings and/or collateral updates, relative value analysis, and industry reviews Build and maintain financial models, spreadsheets and other quantitative tools to support senior analysts, portfolio managers and traders where appropriate Monitor portfolio holdings and market developments to identify potential risks and opportunities Participate in team meetings and discussions, sharing insights and perspectives on credit market trends Support the investment team on special projects as necessary Ensure consistency of investment views across multiple different strategies with varying objectives REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree, with some experience in financial services, particularly in credit analysis Highly detail oriented, with excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Demonstrated experience with applications as Microsoft Excel, and exposure to market research tools such as Bloomberg and Factset Strong quantitative and analytical skills A passion for markets and investing The ability to work independently in a fast-paced, trading-oriented team environment PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Progress towards CFA #LI-HYBRID #LI-KC1 Base Pay Range: $100,000 - $125,000 Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary bonus programs, or other annual or non-annual incentive or sales plans.)
