Responsibilities

Providing classroom, online, or hybrid instruction in professional development and bootcamp formats.

Fulfilling all contractual obligations during the term.

Delivering training sessions aligned with pre-approved curricula and industry standards.

Preparing thoroughly for each session and adhering to schedules.

Leveraging modern teaching technologies, including learning management systems (LMS) and web-conferencing tools.

Engaging learners actively, providing timely responses to questions and offering support or referrals when necessary.

Collaborating with ASCENT staff to ensure seamless delivery and high-quality learner experiences.

Assisting in the development and refinement of training content, as needed.

Maintaining accurate records of attendance, grades, and evaluations, as applicable.

Completing annual compliance training and adhering to university policies.

Performing additional duties as assigned by the OPEL Program Manager.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Relevant industry certifications, coupled with two or more years of field experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven expertise in the subject areas being taught (e.g., technology, business, healthcare, etc.).

Certifications in relevant tools or technologies (e.g., cybersecurity, IT, programming languages, project management, etc.).

Post-secondary teaching or training experience preferred.

Evidence of ongoing professional development through education, certifications, or other activities.

Proficiency with teaching technologies, including LMS platforms, lecture-capture tools, and synchronous online engagement software.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to engage others.
