Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst- Energy Storage Locations: FULLY REMOTE (Anywhere in the USA)

This is an opportunity to join an industry-leading renewable energy venture and IPP with strong private equity backing, focused on the development and execution of dynamic utility-scale energy storage projects. The company has accumulated over 9GW of projects and is currently expanding rapidly.

The Sr. Renewables Asset Management Analyst will join a growing Asset Management Division, focusing on energy storage/battery storage asset management, O&M, energy trading strategies, and real-time operations.

The role supports commercial asset management and technical engineering optimization for renewable energy battery storage assets across the nation. It also involves pioneering the build-out of a proprietary energy storage management platform.

This data analytics-driven role requires experience supporting contractual agreements, operational budgets, and third-party vendor management.

Responsibilities:

Manage data analytics dashboards for utility-scale battery storage assets across ISO/RTOs to ensure optimal operation post-COD.

Review and coordinate asset-based contracts (PPA, O&M, Transmission, Leases, Financing, etc.) to monitor contractual terms, warranties, and project risks.

Create and analyze operational budgets using Excel in collaboration with the accounting team to support asset performance reviews.

Monitor KPIs to ensure project milestones are met and plants operate at peak performance.

Qualifications:

Experience in utility-scale renewable asset management, portfolio management, or operations.

Strong background in data analytics supporting renewable energy asset management.

Proven success in data-driven asset management, including financial performance optimization and O&M management across various energy platforms.

Knowledge of financial asset management, including P&Ls, budgeting, and energy deal structures.

Familiarity with commercial agreements like PPA, O&M, Transmission, Leases, Financing, and Entity Structures is a plus.

Experience supporting performance analytics for third-party O&M contractors.

Knowledge of NERC, FERC, or ISO/RTO compliance standards.

Ideal roles include Sr. Portfolio Analyst, Asset Analyst, or similar positions in renewable or utility energy companies.
