Summary Assist with financial transactions in the college portfolio, including receipting and recording payments, posting 3rd party tuition vouchers/Letters of Financial Guarantee, Purchase Orders, and attaching waivers or exemptions on eligible student accounts. Support student accounts in relation to service indicators and the impact of services offered to students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision, accept and record payments using cashiering equipment and the cashiering system; payments may be term payments on student accounts or departmental receipts.
Ensure all transactions adhere to the Cashiering Procedures Manual.
Reconcile cashiering batches; run checks for deposits through the Remote Deposit system and prepare deposit slips for armored service or bank deposits.
Apply service indicators on student accounts as warranted by circumstances affecting the accounts.
Attach applicable waivers or exemptions on student accounts and attach applicable B-codes on accounts sponsored by 3rd parties.
Assist students with their financial account records, including understanding tuition and fee charges, refunds, 1098T, and related items.
Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Experience One (1) year of cashiering experience, preferably in a college or university business office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
