We are seeking an experienced Health Economics Sr. Analyst to independently manage comprehensive health-economic analyses. This role involves transforming complex medical claims data into strategic insights, directly impacting Sword Health’s growth, program validation, and client retention through data‑driven economic assessments and strategic decisions. What you’ll be doing

Independently manage analyses of medical claims data (integration, aggregation, cleansing, formatting, joining datasets). Utilize advanced statistical methods and analytical software (Python, R, BigQuery) to validate program results, assess statistical validity, and measure economic impacts. Develop actionable strategic recommendations from analytical insights to guide business decisions and client strategies. Communicate complex findings to internal stakeholders and external clients through presentations, reports, and visualizations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Client Strategy, Sales, and Product, to integrate economic insights into commercial narratives and client solutions. What you need to have

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Public Health, or related quantitative fields. Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in medical claims-based economic impact modeling and statistical validation. Experience managing and manipulating large-scale medical claims datasets using Python, R, SQL, or BigQuery. Strong statistical foundation with covariate analysis, statistical validity assessments, and advanced analytical methods. Proven track record independently managing analyses from data integration and cleaning to insight generation. Exceptional communication skills for presenting technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment with flexibility, autonomy, and strategic thinking. What we would love to see

Prior experience in digital health, healthcare startups, or consulting focused on health-economic modeling. Client-facing experience presenting findings and strategic recommendations to clients. US: $112,790 - $177,241 per year. This range includes base salary, variable compensation, and equity. Compensation details reflect base pay plus potential variable, bonuses, or stock options where applicable. The pay range may change and future stock value is not guaranteed. Benefits (US)
