The Senior Project Accountant is the primary accounting and administrative support for construction projects from startup through final closeout. Serves as the liaison between the job site and the finance department, ensuring all accounting standard operating procedures are followed at the job site. Performs activities related to contracts, bonds, insurance, payables, liens, billings, payroll/cost/budget reports for the job site management team. Essential Functions Project Accounting Subcontractor Management Project Administration Promotes Customer Relations Promotes Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development Develops and analyzes value management analysis options Minimum Requirements Associates in Accounting or related field (or equivalent experience) 5 years of experience preferably in the construction industry Proficiency in basic accounting principles Proficient using a personal computer (PC) and company communication tools, such as email, the internet, and Microsoft products (e.g., Word, Excel, Office, Outlook) Preferred Experience B.A. in Accounting Construction accounting experience or AEC industry experience strongly desired, but not required 10 years of experience About Us Balfour Beatty US is an industry-leading provider of general contracting, at-risk construction management, and design-build services for public and private sector clients across the nation.
