What to Expect
The Manager, New Site Openings leads a team of Specialists responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing Tesla's new Service and Collision Center launches. This role ensures consistency, efficiency, and scalability in all site opening operations, while acting as the primary escalation point for blockers and cross-functional alignment. The ideal candidate has strong leadership capabilities, a strategic mindset, and the ability to inspire and guide a high-performing team across a wide geographic footprint. This position will work closely with Real Estate, Construction, Operations, and other cross-functional teams to ensure every new location opens on time and operates at the highest Tesla standards from day one.
This position can be based in Fremont, CA; Austin, TX or any Tesla Service/Collision Center.
What You'll Do
Lead, coach, and support a regional team of Site Opening Specialists
Manage timelines and resolve critical issues across all new site projects
Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure end-to-end site readiness
Analyze post-launch performance to drive continuous improvement
Develop scalable strategies for efficient site ramp-up operations
Identify trends in site openings and implement systemic solutions
Own team hiring, onboarding, performance, and stakeholder communication
What You'll Bring
8+ years in program management or field operations, with 3+ years leading teams
Experience with large-scale service or retail network expansion
Skilled in managing remote teams and cross-functional initiatives
Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
Proficiency in tools like MS Office, Smartsheet, and project platforms
Willingness to travel up to 50-70% in a fast-paced environment
Detail-oriented, action-driven, and experienced in talent development

Expected Compensation $84,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
