The anticipated salary range for this role is between $88,000.00 and $105,000.00. The specific salary offered to an applicant will be based on their individual qualifications, experiences, and an analysis of the current compensation paid in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award. In addition to cash compensation, SMBC offers a competitive portfolio of benefits to its employees.
Role Description
SMBC is in the process of leading a Digital Transformation across our Americas Division as we continue to modernize our technology, focus on our data-driven approach, grow, and plan for the future. As a result of this expansion, we are seeking a software developer to join our Nikko development team. Role Objectives
Design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions for trading platforms, risk systems, and market data feeds. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using languages including Python, SQL, C#/.Net, middleware IBM MQ for messaging, and AWS/Azure cloud Collaborate with senior developers and business analysts to translate business requirements into technical specifications. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. Qualifications and Skills
2+ years of professional experience in Software Development Hands-on development in Python and SQL programming Basic understanding of Computer fundamentals including networking, and messaging Familiarity with fundamental algorithms, data structures, and debugging techniques Basic finance and accounting knowledge B.S. or M.S. Computer Science or Related field Excellent communication skills including experience speaking to technical and business audiences Additional Requirements
