Position Summary Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a

Senior Acquisition Manager

supporting the Helicopter Program Office (HPO) at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The HPO supports selected helicopter programs including the HH-60W Combat Rescue Helicopter (CRH) and the MH-139. The HPO has a mission to rapidly deliver and field new and updated rotary wing aircraft.

Responsibilities

Duties include , but not limited to, calibration and data management tasks relevant to the performance work statement. The Contractor will prepare spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, and papers, providing finished products in technical and non-technical formats, both classified and unclassified, in the required media and format.

Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support in performing configuration management (CM) and data management (DM) tasks. Tasks include the full range of CM and DM actions to accomplish assigned work.

Assist in providing CM/DM support for hardware and software. Review program-specific specifications to include system, development, and product specifications for proper format, content, assurance of appropriate management of scientific and technical information and export control markings, and compliance with requirements, standards, and CM/DM practices.

Assist in generating and maintaining a tracking system of specification updates and Specification Change Notice (SCN) comments, discrepancies, corrective actions, change requirements, change implementations and overall specification status.

Assist in distributing, logging, creating, and maintaining files of Government-approved change proposal activity. Generate and maintain the change processing tracking system to provide current status and reports from inception through supplemental agreement and historical information, including metric reporting.

Assist in performing duties of the CCB Secretariat, providing advisory assistance and draft documentation for the preparation and facilitation of CCBs, and developing reports and charts for these activities.

Participate in formal technical reviews (including PDR and CDR) of contract end items and in manufacturing/production readiness reviews.

Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support for FCA, PCA, and compliance audits, including audit planning, auditing hardware and software configuration items, and generating, dispositioning, and tracking review item discrepancies and action items/minutes.

Assist in providing technical and administrative support to the status accounting function, reviewing the prime contractor's status accounting system to ensure data accuracy and alignment with configuration requirements; maintain status accounting records and databases pertaining to identification documents such as specifications, parts lists, and change control documents (e.g., ECPs, CCPs, variances).

Assist in providing CM/DM data management support: advise on data item descriptions (DIDs), prepare one-time and standard DIDs, draft data management forms (e.g., CDRLs, Contractor Data Requirements Substantiation), collect backup information, draft data call letters for Government review, and support official release upon Government approval.

Assist in conducting data reviews and coordinating inputs from Program Office/IPT functional personnel into draft CDRLs; prepare draft data review documentation; participate as an advisor in data reviews; draft meeting minutes; maintain action-item status to closure.

Education & Years of Experience:

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in a related field and ten years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five years of which must be in the DoD.

OR, Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 12 years of experience in the respective technical/professional discipline, five of which must be in the DoD.

Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as the Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, geographic location, education, and certifications.
