Overview
Commercial Finance Manager role at CSP Qualified candidates will have experience in providing financial leadership for commercial activities, pricing strategy, and profitability management. New Business Quoting and Pricing Strategy:
Own the financial modeling for all new business quotations (RFQs). Develop and maintain the master quotation models, ensuring all cost inputs (Bill of Materials, capital, labor, overhead) are accurate and validated. Drive strategic pricing analysis. Partner with Sales and Engineering to develop competitive pricing strategies that maximize our probability of winning while meeting or exceeding target returns (Margin, IRR, NPV). Serve as the financial gatekeeper in the quoting process. Provide a clear "go/no-go" recommendation on new business pursuits based on financial returns and strategic alignment. Customer & Product Line Profitability Management:
Lead deep-dive profitability analysis by customer, product line, and platform. Identify the key drivers of performance and expose areas of margin erosion or underperformance. Champion cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives. Partner with Program Management, Operations, and Procurement to identify and track actions to close gaps between quoted and actual profitability. Support commercial negotiations with customers regarding pricing adjustments, engineering changes, and volume fluctuations by providing clear, data-driven financial analysis. Strategic Commercial Partnership:
Serve as the primary finance business partner to the Sales and Program Management leadership, translating complex financial data into actionable commercial insights. Support the development of the annual budget and long-range plan by building the bottoms-up revenue and gross margin forecast for your assigned accounts and platforms. Manage the financial tracking of key commercial spending, such as sales commissions and program-specific R&D, ensuring alignment with budget. Required Experience & Skills:
5-7+ years of progressive experience in a commercial finance, program finance, plant controlling, or a highly analytical FP&A role within a complex manufacturing environment. Automotive industry experience is highly preferred. Deep expertise in cost accounting (Bills of Material, labor routings, overhead allocation) and activity-based costing is essential. Proven experience with financial modeling for new business quotations and business case development (NPV, IRR, payback analysis). Demonstrated ability to partner with and influence non-finance stakeholders, particularly in Sales, Engineering, and Operations. Strong analytical skills with the ability to distill complex financial and operational data into a clear, compelling story. Qualifications & Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. MBA or CPA is a plus.
