Position Overview:

The Supply Chain Coordinator position reports directly to the Supply Chain Group Manager and supports the Purchasing Team through a range of operational and administrative tasks, including data entry, reporting, maintaining accurate item and vendor records, and providing clear and consistent communication across departments. Success in this role is driven by a well-organized, detail-oriented approach, combined with proactive communication, professionalism, and the ability to effectively prioritize tasks. The Supply Chain Coordinator role is an hourly, in-office position located in Syracuse, NY.

Essential Functions Create, maintain, and distribute reports, lists, and trackers according to a regular schedule and upon request. Perform ongoing maintenance of item and vendor records, ensuring information is accurate, up to date, and consistently maintained across systems. Ensure vendor records and item setups meet company, regulatory, and food safety compliance standards. Maintain a centralized database of vendor purchase orders, ensuring consistent communication of delays, changes, and updates to the Supply Chain Managers as orders are confirmed and processed. Assist the Purchasing team by reviewing item setup information and pricing, verifying accuracy, and entering new items into internal systems. Develop and apply a general understanding of the day-to-day operations within the Sales and Purchasing departments. Respond to daily issues, inquiries, and internal requests with professionalism, urgency, and thorough follow-through. Assist in preparing documentation for internal meetings, vendor communications, and cross-departmental updates. Track and follow up on outstanding vendor acknowledgments, shipping confirmations, and backorder statuses. Support purchasing initiatives by compiling data and identifying discrepancies in vendor or item performance. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Sales, Logistics, Warehouse teams). Perform additional job duties as required by the Supply Chain Group Manager or Purchasing Team. Opportunities for Growth:

Manage a portfolio of vendors and purchase orders. Gain exposure to procurement strategy, supply planning, and vendor negotiations. Contribute to cross-departmental projects to improve supply chain efficiency. Requirements and Qualifications

Associate degree preferred or equivalent level of education and related experience. Experience in a sales or administrative support role preferred but not required. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. A proactive approach to problem solving. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to adapt and demonstrate flexibility in managing numerous, competing priorities. Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain and navigate records and databases. Strong computer skills - experience and comfortability working in Excel and Microsoft Suite. Eagerness to learn and grow within the role and the organization. Compensation Range: $22 - $25 per hour DOE

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm
