Overview
Chesapeake Search Partners is partnering with a prominent global leader in process engineering and technology to identify an experienced staff accountant to join their growing team. This person will be responsible for monthly closing, including all aspects of working within the general ledger and reconciliations. Key Responsibilities: Complete monthly closing and reporting activities. Calculate and prepare general ledger entries. Perform balance sheet account analysis and reconciliations. Assist with tax and statutory entries and reporting. Coordinate with Shared Services team to facilitate transactional processing, timely billing and accurate financial records. Complete ad hoc analysis of key business activities and general ledger accounts. Provide operational support to supply chain and production facilities through analysis of inventory accounts, labor and overhead absorption and other operational activities. Continually improve close and reporting processes to increase efficiency, effectiveness and process sustainability. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field At least 3 years of progressive accounting experience, experience with manufacturing a plus CPA Preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Dynamics or SAP preferred Seniority level
