Accounts Receivable / Cash Applications Specialist
for a
4-month contract assignment
covering a maternity leave. This role offers a stable, family-oriented environment with a collaborative team culture. Location:
Florham Park, NJ (on-site 5 days per week during training, then hybrid with 3 days on-site). Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Reports To:
Accounting Manager. Duration:
4 months (maternity leave coverage). Responsibilities Process daily cash receipts including checks, wires, and ACH payments. Enter and apply payments to client invoices within the accounting system. Maintain daily spreadsheets and prepare end-of-day cash reports for firm leadership. Review and reconcile American Express statements on a monthly basis. Support ad hoc accounting tasks with a focus on accuracy and timeliness. Requirements Prior accounts receivable or cash applications experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. Proficiency with Excel and ability to update daily spreadsheets. Experience with Elite 3E or similar accounting software is a plus. Ability to work independently and handle confidential financial information.
