We’re partnering with a PE-owned company undergoing a full-scale accounting transformation, and this is the most senior role on the Job Costing team. You’ll own the end-to-end job costing process, drive standardization, and improve accuracy and efficiency across the business. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you’ll work heavily in SAP, oversee operational accounting, and influence strategic decisions through detailed reporting and margin analysis. Success requires deep revenue recognition (ASC 606) expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead processes and drive change in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities
Oversee costing and revenue recognition processes
Ensure accurate revenue tracking and reporting compliance
Review and approve expense allocations for accuracy
Maintain and reconcile deferred revenue schedules
Serve as final reviewer for costing and recognition decisions
Investigate variances and work with teams on resolutions
Provide insights on project margins and cost drivers
Identify gaps and lead process improvement initiatives
Develop and enforce policies for consistency and controls
Collaborate across teams to improve workflows and systems
Prepare reports on profitability, variances, and performance
Reconcile revenue and costs to the ledger
Provide leadership with actionable financial insights
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
Revenue recognition (ASC 606) expertise
Strong analytical skills
Ability to lead processes and drive change in a dynamic environment
Compensation and Benefits
Salary Range: $110,000–$115,000
This role is also eligible for various benefits, including: Medical Insurance
Actual base salary will be determined based on an individual's experience, skills, education, certifications, credentials, special skills, accomplishments, and other factors relevant to the position.
This role is based in the Twin Cities. Applicants must currently reside in Minnesota or are planning to relocate to Minnesota in the near future.
