Project Finance Associate Location: NY or Miami Salary: $140,000 - $150,000 + bonus Piper Maddox are partnered with a highly successful renewable energy IPP focused on developing, owning, and operating distributed generation (DG) projects across the U.S. With a strong pipeline of projects and long-term capital backing, we’re driving the transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy future. What you will do
Support the structuring and execution of project- and portfolio-level financings, including tax equity, debt, and sponsor equity. Build, manage, and audit complex financial models to evaluate transaction economics and optimize capital structures. Assist in preparing investment memoranda, presentations, and other materials for internal and external stakeholders. Coordinate due diligence processes with legal, technical, and financial advisors. What you will have
2-4 years of experience in project finance, investment banking, private equity, or a related field (renewables or infrastructure experience preferred). Strong financial modeling skills with proficiency in Excel. Understanding of tax equity, debt financing, and cash equity structures is a strong plus. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. With strong financial backing this company was very well positioned to continue to scale despite the BBB. Their pipeline of projects is mainly safe-harbored, giving them runway, and the ability to focus on pushing new assets through the pipeline. Seniority level
