Senior Marketing Financial Analysis Accountant This position is responsible for: Maintain oil and gas marketing financial models for crude oil, natural gas, and NGLs System uploads of yearly budgets, monthly forecasts, prices, and other key business drivers Income statement, balance sheet, and segmented cash flow analysis Documentation of results with complete and concise written explanations Using/creating formulas and automation processes to efficiently aggregate data from trading system, accounting actuals, SAP, and other internal systems into meaningful information Review key terms in marketing contracts to understand the financial impact Create process efficiencies; eliminate manual processes whenever possible Assisting with internal and external audit and tax requests Ad hoc reports and special assignments as needed Qualifications
Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related degree with a minimum 15 accounting credit hours Intermediate to advanced Excel working knowledge, comfortable learning new systems Strong working knowledge of accounting journal entries Previous financial statement analysis experience 5-10 years oil and gas industry accounting experience in marketing/midstream accounting or related department(s) Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing deadlines Self-motivated with ability to work independently and within a larger team Experience using a trading system and/or detailed exposure to oil and gas trading departments Continuous drive to identify and implement process improvements Overtime as needed during monthly closing Desired Qualifications: Experience in marketing/midstream accounting or trade floor environment Allegro 8 experience a plus SAC / Data Analyzer experience a plus FP&A experience and/or exposure to budgeting/forecasting process a plus, preferably in oil and gas Financial modeling/valuation experience a plus CPA a plus Fraud Notice
