An established tax firm serving high-net-worth individuals and businesses is seeking an experienced Tax Manager/Supervisor to join their team. In this role, you will primarily review and prepare complex tax returns, provide mentorship to junior staff, and ensure high-quality deliverables for their affluent clientele. Tax Manager/Supervisor Responsibilities: Review tax returns prepared by staff accountants, ensuring accuracy and compliance Prepare complex returns Prepare and review basic trust returns Mentor junior staff members to facilitate their professional development Communicate effectively with affluent clients regarding tax matters Contribute to team efforts during peak tax season Work with various entity types including single member LLCs, sole proprietorships, S corps, C corps, and trusts Handle clients with multiple properties and employees Adapt to firm-specific processes and software systems Tax Manager/Supervisor Requirements: Minimum 10 years of experience preparing complex individual returns for high-net-worth clients Experience with K1s, including complex returns involving hedge funds and private equity Understanding and ability to prepare and review basic trusts CPA license required Proficiency with tax preparation software ProSeries experience preferred Excellent communication skills for client interactions Ability to work extended hours during tax season Team-oriented approach and willingness to assist beyond primary responsibilities Positive attitude and resilience during high-pressure periods Desire for long-term career growth within a small firm environment Benefits: Competitive salary Performance-based discretionary bonus Simple IRA with employer match Comprehensive health benefits Unique vacation policy with potential for significant additional paid time off 5 days of paid sick leave 8 paid holidays Relocation assistance available Work-life balance focus outside of tax season Small firm environment with respectful, collaborative culture Opportunity for long-term growth toward partnership
