Your Opportunity

When you join EY EDGE, you’ll contribute to helping clients meet their business objectives, learn and grow, and build new relationships while delivering high-quality work and advice. Key Responsibilities

Work independently to identify problem areas and escalate as needed to ensure tax returns, tax research, tax accounting and tax projects are completed timely, efficiently, and accurately. Lead the preparation and review of moderately complex tax/accounting regulatory and tax compliance with limited supervision. Perform and document research and analysis on related accounting and tax issues. Guide team members and serve as a role model on moderately complex tax projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of new tax and accounting developments and EY standard technologies and processes related to the role. Prepare or detail review of complex financial closings, tax compliance filings and other tax-related processes or tasks. Compile and evaluate moderately complex data, computations, documentation and various tax and accounting technologies. Ensure service quality across identified aspects of delivery and understand opportunity risk relative to our Scope of Services. Develop, document, and align on processes to support internal teams and cross-functional work. Demonstrate deep technical excellence in offerings and broaden technical skills across capabilities. Maintain internal networks by providing technical assistance to others within EY in the area of expertise. Provide effective oversight, feedback, and coaching to junior team members. Mentor/coach team members to develop technical and leadership capabilities. Skills and Attributes for Success

Comprehensive knowledge of accounting and finance principles, practices, and procedures to complete moderately complex assignments. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with financial and tax applications (e.g., GoSystems, Onesource TP, Corp Tax) as required by area of specialization. Strong attention to detail and good communication skills (written and verbal). Proven conceptual and analytical ability. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Tax, Law, or Economics. 4–6 years of increasingly diverse or moderately complex experience in related field. Ability to prioritize, handle and track multiple assignments; strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently; some supervision skills. Experience with financial and tax applications (GoSystems, CorpTax, Onesource) as required by area of specialization; proficient in Microsoft Office. Proficiency in tax accounting systems. Comprehensive compensation and benefits package with base salary ranges: $71,000–$117,100 (US locations); $85,100–$133,100 (NYC Metro, WA, CA excluding Sacramento). Total Rewards include medical/dental, pension, 401(k), and generous PTO; salaries vary by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
