For more information on Excel Group please visit: http://www.excelgp.com DESCRIPTION OF POSITION The Senior Analyst / Associate will work closely with all Investments team members – assisting in analysis and underwriting – including asset selection, deal negotiation, pro-forma modeling, deal presentations, due diligence and market research. The Senior Analyst / Associate will gain firsthand knowledge of the inner workings of a hotel real estate private equity company and touch upon all aspects of hotel ownership in the entire asset cycle – from acquisition through a property's ongoing asset management and disposition. Primary Responsibilities

Assist in the development of detailed pro-forma models to analyze potential hotel investment opportunities Analyze fund and deal level returns, creating value-add scenarios and ROI analyses Support the due diligence process for potential transactions including analyzing competitive properties, reviewing market supply/demand fundamentals, analyzing financials, sales and revenue and various other reports Assist with hotel disposition, including evaluating potential disposition strategies and timeline, collecting diligence materials, and coordinating with buyer and broker Assist in the development and on-going management of a proprietary business intelligence platform – source data by working directly with hotel brokers, operators and data providers to source accurate hotel performance and pricing data, create dynamic dashboards and reporting tools Maintain an internal company acquisitions pipeline report and CRM, monitoring all potential acquisitions and communication with brokers, lenders and equity partners Assist in creating and updating budgets for hotel development projects and property improvement plans Conduct market research to identify potential target markets for new hotel investments Collaborate with team members across multiple functions (Asset Management & Finance) related to transition of the acquired asset, business plan execution, ongoing investment reviews and ad hoc portfolio and company projects REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The Senior Analyst / Associate will report to senior members of the Investments team including the Founder, Principals, and Senior Associate. PROFESSIONAL/PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate will have: A bachelor's degree in hotel administration, finance, business, or related field 1-3 years of experience in the hospitality industry, specifically focused in hotel ownership (REIT/private equity group), hotel consulting/appraisals, or hotel operations analytics Expertise in real estate finance and an understanding of hotel investments, finance, operations, forecasting, marketing, strategic planning, & budgeting Strong Excel modelling skills with a high degree of comfort creating hotel underwritings, ROI analyses, valuations, return analyses and custom models for special purposes A reputation as a thorough, detail-oriented self-starter, who can work with multiple demands and changing priorities Excellent written and oral communication skills A sense of urgency, a strong work ethic, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced entrepreneurial, flat, non-bureaucratic organization A problem solver who foresees and identifies issues, gathers facts, weighs alternatives, and proposes solutions in an innovative and resourceful manner Collaborative team player who is coachable and open to feedback; demonstrates a positive attitude and strong desire to learn; and one who continually seeks to add value through taking initiative to improve and contribute to company processes and to the overall success of the firm Quick learner, with good listening skills and the desire to ask questions and learn from mistakes Recognition as a person of the highest integrity and ethical grounding COMPENSATION
