Finance Manager of Inventory Control
leads the inventory management and control processes to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role will develop proper inventory control processes for each plant, support accuracy of inventory valuation and financial analysis, and act as a key business partner to the local inventory control teams, supporting inventory projects and senior leadership. This role requires regular travel and may require up to 50% travel during onboarding and on-going projects. Responsibilities
Coordinate with various teams, implementing inventory control systems, and analyzing data to improve inventory management processes. Implement and enforce inventory management policies and procedures to minimize losses, improve accuracy and optimize inventory metrics. Develop process controls that increase inventory accuracy from Goods Receipt to Product Delivery. Reconcile GRIR for all direct materials and prepare related accounting transactions. Prepare and review all inventory reconciliations. Develop, implement and audit appropriate cycle count procedures for each plant. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of projects related to inventory management. Participate in and/or lead physical inventory audits and counts as required, including projects and inventory validation. Analyze inventory costs, identify variances, and recommend cost-saving measures. Ensure accurate valuation of inventory in accordance with accounting standards. Work with production, purchasing, logistics, and other departments to ensure coordinated inventory management. Maintain and develop Inventory control KPIs and work cross-functionally to improve them. Assist in development of budgets and forecasts related to inventory. Identify opportunities to improve inventory management processes, reduce waste, and increase efficiency. Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations related to inventory, including GAAP. Provide regular inventory reports to management, highlighting key trends and potential issues. Education and Experience
Bachelors/Associates Degree in Business/Finance or Supply Chain or equivalent experience/education. 5-7 years of related experience. Data analysis experience and/or financial analysis. Financial inventory experience required. Strong Microsoft Excel and inventory systems; SAP experience. Skills and Competencies
Ability to work independently or within a group. Good organizational and time management skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including presentation. Gather and analyze information from various systems ensuring completeness and correct categorizations. Ability to manage and prioritize several projects to meet deadlines. Understanding of external requests and information to fulfill requests. The pay range for this position is $113,000 - $135,000. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
