Embrace a client-facing role working with US and Global teams to drive opportunities, improve engagement delivery, and develop/maintain relationships with external clients, vendors, KPMG tax and advisory professionals, KPMG foreign law firms, and other stakeholders Manage the delivery of large-scale, multidisciplinary, and multijurisdictional projects; support development of adjacent service offerings to existing KPMG tax and advisory practices Collaborate with diverse teams across levels, geographies, and subject areas, including teams from KPMG's international member firms Leverage KPMG technologies and contribute legal knowledge to the development of technologies for drafting, reviewing, analyzing, and advising on commercial and corporate law documents at scale; monitor regulatory developments to ensure contracts remain compliant Support legal managed services engagements, including high-volume contract review, contract data extraction, contract lifecycle management, claims support, and providing legal guidance on technology and managed services contracts; contribute knowledge to drafting and negotiation playbooks Mentor junior lawyers and contribute to team development and knowledge sharing; seek opportunities to contribute to the broader legal community Qualifications
Minimum eight years of experience reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and managing general commercial and corporate law documents; preference for additional experience in regulatory law, government contracting, employment law, financing/banking, and insurance Bachelor's degree; JD or LLM with an active bar license Self-starter with growth mindset; ability to prioritize, manage multiple assignments, lead legal projects, and meet deadlines Strong understanding of general commercial contracts and key clauses (e.g., liability, indemnification, warranties, termination) Demonstrated expertise in corporate governance and transactional matters; familiarity with provisions in corporate agreements such as shareholder rights, board resolutions, fiduciary duties, voting thresholds, change of control, and confidentiality Excellent Microsoft Office skills; willingness to adopt new technologies, including AI, in legal services Ability to develop and deepen client relationships with U.S. and non-U.S. KPMG teams; experience in sales and business development Adept at integrating diverse viewpoints to drive collaborative, high-quality outcomes; strong communication skills to translate complex ideas into actionable insights Benefits and Compliance
