The Security team safeguards sensitive data and resources, protects personnel, and enables secure operations across the company. We’re looking for a Personnel Security Specialist to drive our personnel security program, ensuring processes, policies, and safeguards operate with precision and integrity. You will assist the FSO in streamlining clearance processes, policy interpretation, and database management to ensure compliance with federal regulations and customer requirements. What you’ll do
Responsible for all aspects of the security clearance lifecycle for collateral clearances and SCI nominations, including clearance processing, visitor control, onboarding, termination debriefings, and incident reporting. Develop, implement, and refine personnel security policies and SOPs aligned with NISPOM, ICDs, and government contracts Serve as a liaison with government security offices, adjudication centers, and external stakeholders Utilize security databases and systems (DISS, NISS, SWFT, eAPP, and related platforms) Assist the FSO with self-inspections, audits, and continuous monitoring for regulatory compliance Aggregate and report personnel security metrics to senior leadership Coordinate upgrades for security management software (e.g., ThreatSwitch, Sign In Solutions, SIMS, Access Commander) Support insider threat program activities and incident response as needed Qualifications (Must Haves)
3+ years of personnel security experience with DoD or Intelligence Community contracts Deep experience with Personnel Security related to NISPOM and IC Directives Technical skills with security databases and systems (DISS, NISS, SWFT, eAPP, etc.) Experience with security management software (ThreatSwitch, Sign In Solutions, SIMS, Access Commander, or similar) Current TS/SCI clearance Strong written and verbal communication, translating complex requirements into actionable processes Experience in a fast-paced environment Hybrid role: 1+ day per week in office in Arlington, VA Additional Qualifications (Nice to Haves)

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $115,000 + equity + 401K match. Within the range, pay is determined by experience, education, and training.
