HR and Talent Development Manager at Komatsu. Key Job Responsibilities
Strategic Alignment & Partnership
Partner with business leaders and HR Business Partners to identify workforce capability needs and translate them into targeted learning strategies. Translate people strategy into structured learning and development programs. Act as a liaison between the Talent Development CoE and the business, ensuring programs are relevant, practical, and aligned with organizational goals. Support the business’s development priorities by partnering with the TD CoE in shaping the overall talent development strategy.
Program Design & Delivery
Collaborate with the Talent Development CoE to design, curate, and adapt learning solutions (e.g., workshops, digital learning, leadership development, onboarding). Support Talent Development CoE with global or enterprise-wide program management initiatives to reach North American business operations. Facilitate engaging learning sessions, both virtually and in-person as needed.
Learning Operations & Measurement
Manage end-to-end learning program logistics, including scheduling, communications, and vendor coordination. Track participation, measure program effectiveness, and provide data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement. Promote and support the effective use of available tools and resources to maximize accessibility and impact. Measure program impact and performance monitoring (engagement, retention, skill growth, etc.).
Employee Development & Coaching
Provide support to HRBPs to guide managers and employees on career development and upskilling opportunities. Support leadership development and high-potential talent programs.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Stay current with L&D trends, technologies, and best practices to bring innovative ideas to the organization. Leverage feedback and analytics to enhance learning strategies and initiatives. Drive change management and ensure consistent adoption of tools, resources, and practices. Create buy-in from leaders. Develop consistent communication templates and rollout guidelines for programs. Lead engagement survey follow-up by driving action planning and promoting local leadership accountability. Oversee vendor relationships and partnerships not already managed by the TD CoE.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, Business Administration or related field. 3–5 years of experience in an HR business partnering role. In-depth experience with an organizational development, learning & development, or talent management focus. Strong facilitation, instructional design, and program management skills. Ability to consult with stakeholders, diagnose needs, and develop tailored learning solutions. Experience working in or closely with a Talent Development CoE. Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS), digital learning platforms, and emerging L&D technologies. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills. Ability to travel up to 15%. Additional Information
Hiring Range : This role pays $100,000 to $120,000 per annum. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
