is seeking a Director of IT Procurement to lead cross functional teams in developing sourcing strategies to support total spend management goals that align with company strategy, result in strong customer satisfaction, and optimize costs and supplier relations. The Director will influence senior leaders in setting direction for their functional areas by linking sourcing and business strategies in order to optimize business results. You will provide both strategic and tactical leadership in the areas of sourcing and price reduction on all non-merchandise spend. The Director will be a subject matter expert who works independently to develop sourcing and negotiation strategies and direct the execution of those strategies. The role requires experience leading large strategic negotiations with key vendors and the ability to communicate effectively with senior leaders throughout the organization. Pay range : $135,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Create and implement company-wide category strategies to deliver continuous improvement and better value to the business across spend areas worth $250M+; direct the execution of spend analytics across designated categories, identifying options and opportunities.
Build and drive annual savings plans by interfacing and communicating with functional owners and Finance.
Oversee sourcing and event execution for respective spend areas; assess stakeholder needs and objectives, define service-level agreements and specifications, scope sourcing events, identify vendors to include, conduct RFP processes.
Act as primary cross-functional leader to interface with business leadership (VPs and SVPs) and drive team development; partner closely with functional leadership on all sourcing matters and ensure procurement is meeting operational needs and realizing maximum savings.
Provide leadership, coaching, counseling and support to direct reports to execute day-to-day work and develop category management skill-sets.
Lead vendor partnerships and overall governance: manage vendor selection, proactively manage supplier account managers and contracts, lead high-stakes negotiations, maintain risk mitigation plans, and drive supplier innovation and alternate sources.
Lead Procurement Operations: oversee procurement operations for designated categories (hardware, software, services, professional services, staff augmentation); establish rate cards and catalogs; develop and track KPIs and internal performance metrics.
Qualifications
Education: 4-year college degree; MBA strongly desired.
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager, Certified Professional in Supply Management.
15+ years of sourcing/procurement experience with increasing responsibility; 10+ years of IT procurement experience including vendor negotiations with large tech companies.
Experience in strategic sourcing with strong negotiation and supplier management; broad knowledge across multiple categories of purchases; proficiency in sourcing methodology, processes and negotiations.
Experience improving customer satisfaction and productivity in sourcing and supplier management; demonstrated success leading project teams to achieve quantifiable savings.
Retail experience is a plus; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple projects and work autonomously with good judgment.
Computer skills: MS Office Suite; reporting and analysis tools; strong presentation skills.
