Overview

Senior Portfolio Business Analyst The Senior Portfolio Business Analyst (SPBA) within a specific product segment has a high degree of subject matter expertise and acts as the accountable liaison between product management and other support groups such as development and user experience. Responsible for ensuring delivery of features and functions as outlined in the acceptance criteria. The SPBA elicits, analyzes, validates, specifies, verifies, prioritizes, and manages detailed requirement documents that support workflows such as functional documents, stories, and sprint-ready directions. The role requires superb communication and facilitation skills and experience working with cross-cultural, cross-matrix teams to deliver software solutions to market. SPBAs typically operate with a high degree of autonomy and collaborate with Product Management and required team members to create products and solutions that satisfy the business needs and vision. The SPBA will work closely with the associated Technical Product Manager (TPM) or Technical Product Director (TPD) to ensure complete execution and success of the product line.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibility #1 - 35%

— Business Requirements Analysis: Works with stakeholders and UX personnel during requirements creation to ensure alignment of wireframes and UX designs with business requirements and development constraints. Understands requirements with customers, internal stakeholders, and SMEs to enable accurate translation and prioritization of features and stories. Translates high-level business requirements into actionable stories, incorporating detailed requirements, business rules, use cases, and acceptance criteria. Advocates cross-functional business development and requirement reuse across product and business spectrum. Gains commitment from stakeholders and team members. Negotiates with stakeholders under guidance of the TPM or TPD. Identifies and communicates potential process improvements to the TPM or TPD. Demonstrates a high level of subject matter expertise.

Responsibility #2 - 30%

— Product Development, QA & Testing: Leads effort to obtain estimates from the development team. Collaborates with QA to ensure QA requirements support thorough product testing. Manages product backlog in coordination with the TPM or TPD. Responsible for managing development issues and escalating necessary issues to the TPM or TPD. Maintains understanding of product vision to ensure current stories enable future functionality. Assists with coordinating successful completion of UAT.

Responsibility #3 - 25%

— Knowledge Transfer: Delivers presentations and demos to executives and large audiences. Aligns the product team on current feature sets, goals, and future vision. Ensures proper documentation and effective knowledge transfer for all involved parties including development, QA, marketing, product support, implementation, and education. Facilitates meetings and interactions with necessary support groups. Serves as the user advocate on development and product management teams.

Responsibility #4 - 10%

— Data Analysis: Assesses and validates integrations/solutions and data integrity/quality. Creates data mapping and data flow diagrams. Assesses the impact of data and software changes on current and future business. Participates in data exploration and conceptual design for strategic initiatives.

Required Qualifications Work Experience:

4 or more years of applicable experience

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)

Preferred Qualifications Skills:

Business Analysis in Healthcare industry

Program Management

Strong Critical Thinking and Problem Solving

Agile SCRUM Software lifecycle

Experience:

Cloud Based Software

Software Development life cycle

Strong Data Analytics, Data Integration

Production Support

Education:

Travel Requirements Travel 1-20% within the US

Physical Demands Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time.

Compensation and Benefits Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive. Internal salary range for this role is $90,000 - $150,000. Final salary depends on market factors, including departmental budgets, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier offers a wide-range salary structure for base salary flexibility.
