Join us for the Site Head of Quality role at Givaudan. Reporting to the Site Head of Operations, you will bring quality strategy within site Operations responsibilities, improve site robustness of quality and food safety systems aligned with policies, and lead the local quality laboratories and quality management team. You will manage talent, develop training and knowledge sharing programs, and support local vendor activities and customer quality programs aligned with global policies. Salary expectation based on technical experience: $135,000 - $155,000 USD. You will be based in East Hanover, NJ. In this exciting role you will drive quality strategy within site Operations function, build quality culture in all Operations functions and with employees, understand key stakeholders on strategic direction and priorities of the site, including site road mapping and Capex planning, and support development of targeted quality communication to internal and external customers. Responsibilities

Support development of targeted quality communication to internal and external customers. Continually Improve Site Quality & Food Safety Systems

Ensure maintenance of quality and food safety systems. Coordinate risk-based and value adding internal audit program. Foster local implementation and audit compliance with internal and external standards (FSSC22000, Kosher, Halal, Organic, etc). Ensure stakeholder support of agreed changes and principles. Coordinate and assist local and regional implementation, change management and monitor progress. Develop and monitor local KPIs and tracking by tailored scorecards or dashboards. Coordinate improvement of site quality performance through targeted initiatives and programs, in collaboration with CI where applicable. Support development of programs to meet customer and industry standards. Provide solutions and define/guide programs to meet customer quality requirements and develop customer relationships and partnerships. Promote quality lab improvements aligned with policies and systems. Monitor and support quality non-conformances resolution allowing in-depth root cause analysis, trend analysis and stringent action follow-up including validation of resolution effectiveness. Facilitate local crisis preparedness and provide support in response to crisis events related to Quality. Regular update on quality and food safety trends and focus areas to Operations. Support engineering projects with review and expertise (including CAPEX planning). Lead the Local Quality Team & Manage Talent

Ensure responsibilities are aligned with staffing. Set and monitor targets, assess performance and talent; implement mitigating actions. Talent assessment and development planning and training facilitation. Training & Knowledge Sharing

Facilitate systematic quality and food safety expertise and skill development through training, coaching and best practice sharing to all staff. Support local vendor activities and manage customer quality programs aligned with global policies. Implement globally/regionally agreed quality requirements from customers. Manage customer audits and resulting improvement plans. Help handle customer complaints; manage critical customer complaints and escalate. Required Qualifications

Technical University degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology or business degree with technical experience. Overall work experience of 10+ years. Function related experience of 5+ years in an equivalent position (at least 3 years). Experience in Food Safety and Quality Management Systems/Standards and understanding of quality management processes such as ingredient life cycle management, vendor quality, customer quality requirements management, continuous improvement, complaint, issue and crisis management, industrialization, audit and change management. Experience with manufacturing technologies, product characteristics and dynamic industries with high complexity. Additional Qualifications
