October 2025 Position Description A Distinctive Schools Campus Operations Manager will work closely with the School Principal to ensure all financial and operational compliance for the school to ensure the leadership team is able to focus on academic excellence. Fiscal Management
Conduct annual audits Responsible for overseeing monthly expense reports Support all purchasing processes with School Director approval Process, verify, and deposit all monies received and submitted Process & verify payroll for salary & hourly employees at the respective campus Work with the School Principal and Distinctive Schools to manage the school’s budget, finances, reports and relationships with outside vendors throughout the school year Staff Management
Supervise and Evaluate: Administrative office personnel Before and After School Coordinators and staff in close partnership with Community School Coordinator Cafeteria and food service partners Maintenance, cleaning and security personnel School Monitors Responsible for employee on-boarding and off-boarding, including: asset collection, maintenance, and reassignment Manage Time and Attendance for respective personnel Oversee After-Care payments and Before-Care stipends Manage payroll for campus staff Manage Paid Time Off (PTO) for campus staff Facilities Management
Support the Facilities Team through ordering and management of facilities budget Complete school walkthroughs twice per day Ensure instructional materials, furniture, and equipment are properly stored and accessible Manage facility contractors and works with CICS Facilities Manager on building projects Work with appropriate staff to ensure hallway and general facility decor are updated and maintained Technology
Serve as school point person for all instructional technology and student information systems Work closely with Distinctive Schools’ Technology Team to troubleshoot and solve day-to-day technology issues Student Information, Enrollment, Registration, Attendance
Administer student registration & student enrollment process Direct the full process of student and school information systems Oversee the creation and distribution of progress reports and report cards Ensure smooth management of student and family orientations, parent/teacher conferences, receipt of student/ family deliverables and organization of new and returning family orientation Regulation and Reporting Requirements
Ensure school-wide compliance with health and safety laws Work with the School Director to prepare for charter school site and renewal visits, Distinctive Schools accountability site visits, and audits Oversee testing coordination and work with the special projects coordinator to ensure standardized tests (including NWEA and PARCC) are properly administered, stored, and returned Scheduling
Ensure appropriate personnel are aware of student and staff schedules Oversee coverage schedules and ensure all posts are covered, including: before school, lunch, and after school. Assist in scheduling family-teacher conferences, family events, standardized testing, use of AV equipment, and the computer/ laptop cart Partnerships with DS Teams and Campus Community
Support Community Schools Coordinator in managing relationships with all outside organizations (in conjunction with Distinctive Schools as appropriate) Collaborate on school’s efforts to partner with community leaders, organizations, state and local charter school events/meetings Work closely with the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Assist technology team to troubleshoot and solve day-to-day technology issues In partnership with Campus Technology Coordinator and IT manager, serve as additional technical resource for instructional technology and student information systems Logistics (Management and Facilitation)
Field Trips
Book field trips (including facilitation and logistics to and from event), planning meals, and processing payments Oversee Office Manager to manage student participation including distribution of permission slips Tours & Visits
Provide materials to visiting to guests Be available to lead some tour groups Requirements
Bachelor's Degree At least 3 years of operations experience Previous experience managing multiple staff members Technology demands: Proficient in cloud based software Solutions (Google Suite), Ability to learn digital tools and programs as needed for the position Physical demands
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 30% sitting, 50% walking, and 20% standing. Benefits
