Overview
Assistant Store Manager at Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona (GCNA). Location: 3130 E Thomas Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85016. Starting pay: $45,000.00 annual. This position is eligible for a monthly bonus based on performance goals. Responsibilities
Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve daily, monthly, quarterly, and yearly goals for operating income, revenue, and production. Monitors product levels daily (floor, as-is, recycle, trash, seasonal back stock) to meet bottom line sales targets. Manages payroll costs and operating costs within budget. Ensures Team Members deliver excellent customer service to donors and customers and de-escalates customer situations when needed. Maintains clean, well-kept store environments that reflect the Goodwill brand. Partners with community businesses and organizations to promote the Goodwill mission and serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community. Leads day-to-day operations of the sales floor and ensures Retail Store Associates and Customer Service Manager are well-trained. Acts as a key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager. Processes complex sales transactions, including customer returns, and ensures adherence to company standards and procedures. Travels to other GCNA locations as needed to assist stores and participate in training and development. Transfers to different stores as required by business needs. Collaborates with support areas (Asset Protection, Human Resources, Safety, Finance, etc.) to align with policies and regulations. Builds a high-performing team and oversees performance management, staffing, compensation, and development of Team Members. Supports company culture change efforts and change management processes and models Goodwill core values: Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience One year of retail management experience required One year of customer service experience required Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable Ability to speak and read English proficiently Benefits and Total Rewards
