Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking a Manager 3 to join our team on the F-35 program. This leadership opportunity is onsite in Redondo Beach, California. The role requires bold leadership, a pioneering spirit, and a focus on delivering innovative, high-impact work. Responsibilities
Own overall quality and validity of all program vetted Risks/Issues/Opportunities (RIO). Perform independent assessments of technical, cost, and schedule impacts of risks, issues, and opportunities. Collaborate with risk owners and CAMs to meet risk mitigation and opportunity development commitments. Provide horizontal and vertical integration of the RIO SOW for each operating unit and IPTs. Lead proactive risk identification, evaluation of affordability opportunities, and development of mitigation plans. Ensure adherence to program RIO processes against corporate and sector procedures. Support audits of risk, issues, and opportunities processes by corporate, sector, and DCMA. Maintain the Risks, Issues, and Opportunity management plan and administer the program-selected RIO tool. Develop and deliver F-35 RIO training as required. Act as primary contact for all program RIO activities, including leadership and customer reviews. Lead program-wide monthly review boards for Risks, Issues, and Opportunities. Provide guidance and thought leadership for all RIO-related activities. Qualifications
Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 10 years of related experience (or Bachelor of Science in STEM and 9 years) OR Master’s degree and 8 years (or Master of Science in STEM and 7 years). Related experience includes project/program management, engineering, capture efforts, and/or business management functions. Experience with risk, issue, and opportunity development. Knowledge of project management principles and experience in management of projects, scheduling, and budgets. At least 5 years of formal leadership experience in a people leadership role. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to develop and influence project team relationships. Familiarity with aircraft production, supply chain, engineering, software development, and product support. F-35 program familiarity. Program integration and risk management experience. Proficient in AS Sector Tracking Risk, Issues, and Opportunity (TRIO) Tool. Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $180,600.00 - $271,000.00. This range is a general guideline; offers consider scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Depending on the position, overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director roles may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. Northrop Grumman provides health and disability insurance, a savings plan, company-paid holidays and PTO.
