Principal Responsibilities

Coordinate, oversee and manage projects ranging in size and complexity; serve as the point of contact for teams and clients.

Collaborate with business development staff, Project Executives, Client Executives, and Market Directors/Leaders during the initial stages of project opportunities.

Assist Project Executives and Client Executives with design scopes of work and fee calculations for proposal generation as well as with contract reviews.

Create project schedules including targets for milestones and deadlines.

Create monthly billings and submit financial information to Accounting in a timely manner; update billing projections and estimated completion percentage for all projects monthly.

Collaborate with design staff and coordinate scheduling of projects during all phases of design and construction.

Ensure design follows owner standards and requirements, IMEG standards and code requirements; ensure design milestone deliverables are achieved, IMEG and client quality control processes are completed, and construction technical support occurs in a timely manner.

Prepare project status reports and other documentation, schedule and lead progress meetings and provide meeting documentation.

Lead project interviews and project presentations.

Train, mentor, and motivate staff.

Build, maintain, and develop client relationships.

Respond to and resolve client/construction concerns. Manage change orders and obtain appropriate approvals.

Required Skills / Abilities

Ability to identify potential risks and take measures to mitigate before they negatively impact projects.

Competency in managing large projects and/or a significant volume of small to medium projects for key clients annually.

Demonstrated financial success on projects managed.

Knowledge and understanding of engineering disciplines, design, and technical aspects.

Experience with managing projects where IMEG is prime including hiring and managing subconsultants and executing subcontracts.

Experience with managing projects with multiple IMEG office locations and teams executing the design.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Ability to travel up to 25% for client project success and internal project team engagement.

Education and Experience

Bachelor of Science (BS) degree, or higher, in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field preferred.

Minimum 10 years of project management, construction management, or related experience; 12 years preferred.

Minimum of 3 years of project management experience at IMEG, or equivalent, required.

Completion of IMEG's Project Management Training or other recognized industry standard project management training preferred.

Professional Engineer (PE) license required.

Salary Range $130,000 - 174,000. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay will be based on several factors including experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Other rewards may include annual bonuses and stock ownership options.
