County Commissioner Chief of Staff Salary : Starting at $60,000 The office is seeking a proactive, engaging Constituent Services & Community Outreach Manager to serve as a key liaison between DeKalb County government and its residents. The ideal candidate excels at building relationships, fostering meaningful community engagement, and managing a fast-paced, dynamic workload. The Constituent Services & Community Outreach Manager would be responsible for managing constituent inquiries, coordinating outreach initiatives, and fostering meaningful engagement with diverse communities across the county in a meaningful and innovative manner. The manager ensures timely resolution of concerns, promotes transparency, and strengthens public trust in local government. Essential Functions
Constituent Services Respond to inquiries, complaints, and service requests from residents via phone, email, and in-person meetings. Track and resolve constituent issues by coordinating with internal departments and external agencies. Maintain a comprehensive database of constituent interactions and follow-ups. (including creation of databases) Create Reporting on daily, weekly, and annual constituent services. Develop and implement outreach strategies to engage underserved and underrepresented communities. Organize and attend public meetings, town halls, and community events to gather feedback and share county initiatives. Build partnerships with local nonprofits, faith-based organizations, neighborhood associations, and civic groups. Prepare briefings, reports, and presentations for elected officials on community concerns and engagement outcomes. Work with communications team to address constituent concerns via newsletters, social media content, and public-facing materials to promote county programs and services. Monitor local issues and trends to proactively address emerging community needs. Collaborate with departments to design and promote programs that enhance public access to county resources. Support special initiatives such as voter education, public safety awareness, and health wellness campaigns. Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/Health, Communications, Social Work, Political Science, or related field. 1–2 years of experience in constituent services, community engagement, social services/welfare, or public affairs. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to navigate sensitive issues diplomatically. Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite platforms. Data collection & analysis Deep understanding of DeKalb County’s demographics, neighborhoods, and civic landscape.

Bilingual or multilingual capabilities. Experience working with elected officials or in a government setting. Passion for public service and community empowerment. Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed for community events. Supplemental Information
