The Napa Parks and Recreation Services Department (the Department) has 42 full-time employees and is responsible for a wide array of parks and recreation facilities located across 950 acres, including over 60 parks and civic areas, 26 miles of trails, two community centers, as well as an urban forest consisting of over 30,000 trees. The Department is organized into multiple divisions including operations & urban forestry, recreation & public art, and administration, each working collaboratively to ensure the effective stewardship of Napa\'s diverse parks and recreation system. The Department is implementing multiple strategic initiatives to improve parks and community spaces and strengthen civic engagement, aligning with City Council\'s strategic focus areas as well as priorities of Measure G. Position and responsibilities

The Management Analyst I/II position will support the Department in completing special park projects related to project planning and park improvements across the City\'s parks system. This role will provide project support in multiple areas including but not limited to contract management, project initiation, community engagement, design development, and construction administration. The ideal candidate will have previous park improvement project experience that involved working collaboratively with various stakeholders to reach a common goal, including interdepartmental colleagues, external contractors, and the greater community. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the City\'s mission of providing accessible, well-designed recreational spaces that meet the growing needs of all residents. - New employees can accrue up to 120 hours annually.

Prior Years of Service

- 104 hours (13 days) of Management Leave per year.

Sick Leave

- Employees can accrue up to 96 hours annually.

This current opening is to fill a Limited Term position, which is expected to serve a two-year term from the date of hire. The initial employment term of any limited term employee is two years, with a possible one-year extension by the City Council, for a potential term of three years. Mission and values
