Vice President of Operations, SSM Health St. Louis University Hospital — Saint Louis University Hospital within SSM Health. Responsibilities

Serves as a member of the leadership team providing strategic direction on operational issues. Works effectively in a dynamic executive environment and promotes teamwork across the organization by maintaining positive relationships and using effective problem solving skills. Ensures premier customer satisfaction. Implements mechanisms to determine customer satisfaction levels and engages employees, physicians, and leadership to implement strategic and operational plans. Provides timely resolution to customer complaints and suggestions. Develops and implements strategic business plans. Translates initiatives into action plans at the departmental level with appropriate performance measures. Manages budgets and implements fiscal planning. Establishes and monitors process improvement initiatives to achieve value-based outcomes. Oversees human resource management for the assigned area, promoting a culture of employee engagement. Ensures consistent HR policy administration, structures operations effectively, and identifies succession planning needs with emphasis on retaining and recruiting a diverse workforce. Promotes teamwork and collaboration. Motivates and empowers staff, recognizes accomplishments, solicits staff input, and mentors leadership. Keeps staff informed about organizational and industry issues. Delivers quality patient care daily and participates in ongoing continuous quality improvement education and training. Develops and enforces policies and procedures for hospital and service line functions. Maintains compliance with confidentiality practices and regulatory requirements, licensure, accreditation, record procedures, and internal controls. Builds relationships with community and external organizations to expand the mission’s effectiveness. Collaborates with regional support functions (nursing, finance, planning, quality, HR) to achieve outcomes for hospitals, service lines, network, and system. Communicates policies and procedures to ensure compliance at all levels of the organization. Maintains ethical standards in business practices, legal compliance, confidentiality, conflicts of interest, vendor relationships, and reporting of questionable activities. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Education Master's degree or equivalent education and experience. Experience Ten years' experience, with five years' in leadership. Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive movements. Vision and depth perception for distances near and far; color distinction. Hearing and speech for oral communication; ability to hear alarms and machinery. Frequent keyboard use/data entry. Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping. Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs. Rare climbing.
