Position Summary We are actively seeking an experienced Senior Staff Technical Product Manager to spearhead content processing initiatives of the Global Video Platform (GVP) within the Direct-to-Consumer Platform Product Management organization. GVP serves as the converged platform powering WBD\'s suite of streaming applications, including the current flagship HBO Max. It encompasses a comprehensive suite of server-side workflow components responsible for content and metadata processing, as well as the delivery and playback of both live and video-on-demand (VOD) content across various consumer devices through client-side player SDKs. In this role, you will take ownership of the content processing domain within GVP, overseeing critical services such as encoding, packaging, encryption, and content replication to ensure seamless video delivery and an immersive playback experiences for our consumers. You will collaborate with Engineering and Technical Program Manager counterparts within the live and VOD Content Processing Teams, interface with adjacent workflow teams (Media Supply Chain and Content Delivery), and partner with stakeholder teams including Consumer Product Management, QoE, Release Management, and Customer Experience. Responsibilities Provide product expertise and thought leadership in the areas of live and VOD content encoding, packaging, encryption, and replication. Develop, communicate, and implement a comprehensive content processing product strategy aligned with business objectives and technology trends. Collaborate with cross-organization and cross-functional stakeholder teams to define content processing platform product requirements. Develop a prioritized product roadmap that meets the needs of stakeholders and customers. Drive efficiency and optimize costs for video delivery. Set priorities and build shared understanding across teams to coordinate and drive impact across groups. Drive for consistency and quality in content formats across WBD streaming properties. Establish and monitor qualitative and quantitative objectives and KPIs; analyze data to inform product decisions and optimize performance. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders; understand and advocate for customer needs. Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on product development and delivery. Provide leadership to cross-functional teams toward a common product vision; use influence to drive results and scale. Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies to develop novel solutions. Requirements 12+ years of Product Management or related experience. In-depth knowledge of live and VOD audio/video encoding, transcoding, packaging, and delivery technologies. Experience launching and developing platform-level products and features for a global audience at scale. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong ownership and customer empathy. Technical background in software development; understanding of web services architecture and development methodologies. Solid understanding of business principles including revenue models, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Experience managing multiple stakeholders and business teams; ability to drive clarity in ambiguous situations. Experience with data analysis and deriving insights to inform product decisions; experience with machine learning/AI tools is a plus. In compliance with local law, compensation ranges are disclosed where required. Base pay is one component of total compensation. Pay Range: $159,600.00 - $296,400.00 per year.
