Subcontracts Administrator V
to join our Contracts & Procurement team. This position will play a critical role in managing complex procurement activities, ensuring compliance with federal acquisition regulations, and supporting small business subcontracting initiatives. Location: Alexandria, Virginia. Category: Contracts Administration. Job Type: Full-Time/Regular. Tracking Code: CON 5205. Responsibilities
Manage complex procurement issues with suppliers. Ensure CPSR-compliant procurement practices. Oversee supplier risk identification, mitigation, and contract closeout. Provide risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies for procurement activities. Assist with small business subcontracting plans, reports, and audits. Support the Subcontracts Manager with overall responsibilities. Supervise, mentor, and cross-train junior colleagues. Required Skills
Knowledge of federal procurement processes and procedures. Strong understanding of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), FAR supplements, and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR). Advanced knowledge of CPSR guidelines. Ability to support government contracting audits. Experience administering multiple contract types: Firm Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Fixed Price Labor Hour, ID/IQ, and GSA Schedules (including modifications and closeouts). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong multitasking, critical thinking, and organizational abilities. Preferred Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite. Advanced knowledge of Small Business Subcontracting regulations and reporting. Familiarity with Contractor Purchasing System Review guidelines. Required Experience
Advanced degree OR 10–15 years of equivalent work experience. Relevant certifications preferred: Master Certificate in Procurement Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) Certified Professional in Supplier Diversity (CPSD) Ability to work both independently and in collaborative team environments. May require the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government-issued security clearance.
