Overview
CenterPoint Marketing is seeking an experienced Warehouse Director to join our team. The Warehouse Director is responsible for developing and executing the long-term vision and strategy for Warehouse and Traffic operations, ensuring efficient handling, staging, shipping, receiving, and storage of complex client and company inventory to meet the demands of hundreds of custom tradeshows and events annually. The role requires driving process improvements, establishing high standards for accuracy, safety, and accountability, and leading large teams and complex projects. Key Responsibilities
Oversee warehouse operations to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. Collaborate with the Traffic Department and review the Master Shipping Calendar to align labor and resources with shipping deadlines. Maintain optimal efficiency, safety, and accuracy with client satisfaction as the top priority. Manage daily, weekly, and long-term workflows for inbound/outbound freight, inventory management, and show preparation. Lead project planning with Account Services, Production, and Design to meet show schedules and ensure accurate, timely shipments. Implement tracking tools and documented procedures to reduce errors and increase accountability in packing, labeling, and staging; analyze data to identify trends and prevent recurrence of issues. Develop and implement operational processes to improve efficiency, accountability, safety, and consistency; ensure clear communication and regular review for improvements. Develop, implement, and refine standard operating procedures (SOPs) for shipping, receiving, staging, labeling, and storage. Monitor space, equipment usage, staffing plans, and throughput to consistently meet deadlines and quality standards. Collaborate with executive leadership to align departmental strategies with company goals, growth, and client service improvements. Maintain inventory accuracy with systems for tracking, quality control, labeling, and reporting. Identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies and implement corrective measures to streamline operations. Maintain and enforce safety procedures per OSHA standards and CenterPoint policies; lead the Safety Committee. Oversee inspections and maintenance of warehouse equipment; coordinate with the Production Manager on repair schedules and safety compliance. Support large or complex event schedules during peak periods, including extended hours and urgent shipment coordination when needed. Lead department meetings and represent warehouse operations in company-wide production and planning meetings, including a twice-weekly production review. Monitor labor utilization and project fulfillment; adjust resources and workflows to optimize outcomes. Lead warehouse readiness for external client visits and internal audits. Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field preferred. Seven or more years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least three in a senior or director-level leadership role. Tradeshow or event industry experience strongly preferred. Valid forklift license (or willingness to obtain); CenterPoint will maintain certification and provide testing as required. Extensive knowledge of warehouse logistics, inventory management, and tradeshow/event operations. Experience with Warehouse Management Software (WMS) and Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel. Ability to lead teams with confidence, delegate effectively, and coach staff at all levels. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to collaborate cross-functionally with multiple departments and stakeholders. Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time. Must be able to work in various weather conditions and temperatures in the warehouse and on the loading dock. Must be able to walk and stand for extended periods during site walkthroughs and peak periods. Pay
$105,000-$130,000 annually Work Location
