Operations and Demand Planning Analyst (DTC)
to own forecasting for our Amazon 3P (FBA) and DTC business. This role is responsible for analyzing sales trends, managing inventory levels, and developing buy & replenishment strategies while mitigating risk. This role operates within a cross functional team, collaborating with stakeholders on our product development, digital, operations, and business intelligence teams to ensure we meet channel demand and balance inventory across our assortment. The ideal candidate has experience in demand planning, e-Commerce analytics (Shopify and Seller Central), Amazon Global Logistics, and 3PL/FC transfers for a CPG brand. What You’ll Do Demand Forecasting & Inventory Planning Develop and maintain accurate 12-month rolling demand forecasts for Amazon and Shopify, leveraging historical data, category trends, promotional activations, and PoT product roadmap. Monitor Amazon 3P (FBA) sell-through rates, lead times, and replenishment (inbound) cycles to optimize inventory availability, avoiding overstock or stockouts. Collaborate with the Sr. Director of DTC Channels and the Sr. Director of Finance to align forecasts with revenue targets and Brand strategic objectives. Provide demand signal analysis that aligns with the brand buy calendar, that align with vendor MOQ requirements, wholesale-DTC shared style demand, and PO issuance timeline. Cross train with Wholesale Planner to provide mutual support and backup. Amazon Operations & Supply Chain Management Work closely with our Amazon agency to ensure proper forecasting, plan replenishment, and compliance with Amazon’s fulfillment policies. Manage the flow of inventory into FBA and DTC FCs – especially during periods of peak seasonality or promotional activity (e.g., Prime Day, Black Friday). Track Amazon’s Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score to minimize Amazon storage fees. Monitor and report internally on FBA/AWD capacity planning and KPI’s. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with the Sr. Director of DTC Channel to incorporate planned promotional activities into demand forecasts. Work with the Operations team to understand supplier lead times, POs, and inbound cadence. Coordinate with DTC team on product portfolio management: new product launch, product exits. Partner with the DTC teams to balance inventory between DTC FCs and FBA, re-balancing as necessary. Data Analysis & Process Improvement Manage dashboard to track KPIs: forecast accuracy, sales velocity, inventory turns, inventory productivity Identify risks and opportunities to continuously improve forecasts. Prepare CM calc file, Amazon FBA/management fees, P&L reporting. What We’re Looking For 2-5 years of experience in apparel / retail demand planning, inventory management. Current knowledge of Amazon Seller Central and AGL. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; PowerBI and/or other BI tools. Excellent communication skills and ability to independently own and speak to a process from end-to-end. Demonstrable quantitative and analytical skills; ability to parse through and synthesize data from multiple sources in order to make recommendations.
