Position Overview We’re currently in search of a Director of Operations, Food & Beverage who shares these values and will champion them at 1 Hotel Hanalei Bay. We’re looking for a leader who can motivate a team, elevate standards, and cultivate an environment for learning as we continue to grow. We want a person who is comfortable getting in the trenches with their team to achieve the desired outcomes.
About you
Passionate about food & beverage with a minimum of 10 years of progressive Food & Beverage experience in a high-volume, upscale environment.
Minimum of 10 years managing a high-volume Food & Beverage operation with at least $20M in F&B revenue.
A post-secondary diploma or degree is a plus.
Expert in food & beverage operations, strong leader with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexible and willing to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation.
Oversee all aspects of the Food & Beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, and conference & events.
Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure the highest standards of food, service, and guest experience.
Lead team member recruitment, training, and development to ensure high performance and guest satisfaction.
Manage and mentor a team, fostering a culture of excellence and teamwork.
Maintain a strong presence on the floor, interacting with guests to ensure exceptional service.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
Develop and manage budgets, monitor financial performance, and implement cost control strategies.
Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, ensuring quality and consistency of ingredients.
