About the Role

Sr. Commissioning Manager independently provides commissioning project leadership and implementation in a client facing position. Directs and administers the commissioning process for building HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing and similar systems, from concept design through functional testing of systems to post occupancy. This position supports highly technical and complex renovation and new construction projects, including life science and healthcare facilities. This role is based within the Seattle, WA area. What You'll Do

Oversee the commissioning process for building systems, including HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Controls, and Low Voltage. Verify that systems are designed, installed, and operate within the basis of design and specified criteria. Review MEP systems design documents and sequences of operation for conformance. Write detailed system checklists and functional performance operational tests to check each system point, mode, input, output, etc. Conduct site walks and inspections and create site observation visit reports. Direct onsite system testing and monitoring of complex and integrated systems and document results. Track and proactively resolve issues with contractors, engineers, and owners. Create reports and project deliverables with proper grammar and formatting to create professional deliverables. Self-perform all tasks independently and when support is available delegate tasks and mentor supporting team members. Manage execution of projects within the given scope and budgets. What You\'ll Need

Education and Experience: Bachelor\'s degree in engineering or relevant building science, plus five years of relevant experience. Equivalent levels of progressive industry experience can be considered in lieu of degree. Knowledge of MEP systems installation and operation required. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future Preferred Skills

Certificates and Licenses: Professional Engineer (PE) preferred. LEED AP and commissioning certification (such as CxA, CCP, or BCxP) preferred. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to provide efficient, timely, reliable and courteous service to customers. Ability to effectively present information using technical writing skills, including detailed document formatting. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills with ability to independently track many ongoing tasks and organize large amounts of project files and correspondence. Financial Knowledge: Requires knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to manage project budgets, job costs, forecasting, project billing, and invoicing. Reasoning: Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex construction documents and operation of building controls systems; address complex project team dynamics; and troubleshooting building system operation. Software: Microsoft Word (detailed formatting), Microsoft Excel (processing and analyzing large amounts of BAS trend data), Network file management, ability to edit PDF documents. Ability to create formatted layouts preferred. Prior use of commissioning online software preferred. Employment type
