75159 The Role at a Glance
As the AVP, M&A Strategy & Financial Modeling, you will lead high-impact initiatives that shape the future of the organization through strategic vision. You’ll be responsible for building, evaluating, and maintaining complex financial and strategic models that drive our company’s growth and strategic decision-making. Your work will directly support M&A and other key transactions, requiring a sophisticated understanding of statutory and GAAP corporate modeling. This role offers the opportunity to influence enterprise strategy, collaborate with senior leadership, and drive financial and operational outcomes. What you’ll be doing
Build and maintain complex financial models to assess potential deals, forecast company performance, and support M&A and other strategic initiatives. Develop financial models for valuation and deal structuring, providing critical insight to support senior management in strategic decision-making. Play a key role in the due diligence process for M&A transactions, conducting thorough financial analysis and evaluating target companies. Create clear, concise, and compelling presentations for senior management and executive leadership, distilling complex financial calculations and analyses into a clear, actionable story. Evaluate and interpret highly complex economic trends and conditions which affect the financial services industry to contribute to short-term and long-term M&A policies and plans. Partner with cross-functional teams, including actuarial, finance, operations, and legal to execute deals and lead the transition from deals to integrated business operations. Stay current on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities to inform modeling assumptions and strategic recommendations. Participate as needed on Lincoln committees (e.g., Asset Liability, Risk, Product, etc.), providing functional expertise. What we’re looking for
Must-Haves 10+ years experience in M&A, corporate development, finance or a related field, with a strong focus on the life insurance and annuity sectors. Extensive experience in building complex financial models, with a demonstrated understanding of life insurance and annuity statutory and GAAP corporate modeling. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create clean, visually effective presentations that convey a strong narrative. Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. Application Deadline

Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package. About The Company
